Picture Post!

Yeah, I know. My narratives are bo-ring! I know what you’re thinking– you come here for the pictures, right? Well, I am working on a special post for their birthday coming up later this week (eeeeeek!), which means that some time around Thursday (eeeeek!!), you’ll have to deal with more narrative, but for today, here are a few pictures from our trip so far:

Henry's Camera Grab
Henny wants the camera! Look at that concentration– tongue out, eyes set, hands reaching… gimme that camera, Mama!

Henny's New Ride
Grumpy driver (where does he get that from??? I have no idea!)

Jack Practices The Camera Grab
Jack takes a crack at trying to steal the camera. Love those eyelashes!

Jack is ready to GO!

Henny Loves Macaroni
Henny loves macaroni and cheese (note the cheese in his hair, and on his face, and all over his hands and the table and the high chair, etc.). He ate the whole bowl by himself!

Jack On The Coffee Table
Jack’s new perch– Grandma’s coffee table! Alternately, he can be found teetering on the edge of the jagged, limestone-brick fireplace hearth…

Henny Plays
Henny has started offering me his toys (or food or whatever he has in his hand). It’s the game of “I hand it to you, you say, THANK YOU!!!, you hand it back to me”, rinse, repeat. He gets very frustrated because no one else seems to get the game. He hands over toys, and they just take them! No ‘thank you’ or anything!

Jack Loves Blackberries
Jack loves blackberries! Covered in purple! Henry loves them, too, but Jack got really into it. (You can actually see my poor snuffle nose guy here… he’s had a drippy nose for a while, but he really started to feel bad yesterday. My poor baby!)

Henny Splashes
The boys play with their new paddling pool. Henry splashed and splashed forever. Jack climbed in with his clothes on, before I could get him into his bathing suit, and played enthusiastically for a while, before deciding he’d rather sit on the edge and play with the dog dish (which was okay, since the dog seemed to want to drink out of the baby pool instead– a fair swap, I guess!).

There are more pictures to post (and a video, too– if anyone has a freeware recommendation on video flipping software, I’d love it, since I forgot and took the video in portrait orientation instead of landscape…), but I’m going to wrap it up here and get some rest since the boys are actually (FINALLY) sleeping…

What’s up in your world?

Lovely photos! We have a similar blackberry one of Isobel from a few days ago! That paddling pool is a great idea! Wow, those boys are seriously growing so fast! Love the double stroller! So much less cumbersome than the two car seats and very snazzy!

Such cuteness again. I can’t resist a good berry-face photo. It seems like you are having a good visit. I’m glad for you. Can’t wait to read about the big day and celebration.
